We can provide the following asbestos training courses:

1. Asbestos Awareness training

This training is suitable for those persons, sole trainer or a large company who are liable to disturb asbestos while carrying out their normal everyday work, or who may influence how work is carried out.

2. Training for work with asbestos that does not require a licence from HSE

This training is for those workers who plan to carry out any work with asbestos that does not require a licence and who may knowingly disturb lower risk asbestos containing materials.

3. Training for asbestos work that does require a licence from HSE

Most work with higher risk asbestos containing materials must be carried out by licensed contractors. This training is suitable for sole trainer or a large company. Only suitably trained workers, using appropriate respiratory protective equipment and who are under suitable medical surveillance can undertake licensed asbestos work.

4. Managing Asbestos In Buildings

This course provides candidates with the knowledge of how to manage asbestos in their buildings under Regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (CAR2012)

Legislation clearly states that any worker who is liable to disturb asbestos while carrying out their normal work is required to be trained. Employers and the self employed must ensure that adequate information, instruction and training are given to workers who are liable to be exposed to asbestos during the course of their work.

If you intend to knowingly work on asbestos then the training must be specific to the tasks undertaken – Asbestos Awareness Training will NOT be suitable for this purpose.
