Midlands Asbestos Solutions attended the ‘First Aid at Work’ training course provided by St Johns Ambulance this week. The 3 Day course teaches you everything from putting a plaster on to the recovery postition.
The HSE made it complusory for there to be at least 1 person within a work place to be First Aid trained, which comes with good reason especially as asbestos removal comes with many risks, fortunately these risks are kept to a minimum due to risk assessments being carried out prior to any work commencing on site and specialist asbestos training which is required for all operatives.
